Fillings
Tooth fillings are the daily practice of a dental clinic. The plethora of materials currently available to the physician have made old and unsightly amalgam restorations to be used in rare cases, while complex resin fillings are largely those that are placed in anterior and posterior teeth to repair lesions due to caries and dental injuries. This restores the smooth operation of the mouth and achieves the maximum acceptance of the result by the patient due to the high aesthetic capabilities of modern materials.
Inlays – onlays
Inlays-onlays made of composite resin or porcelain are placed in cases of extensive tooth decay or fracture in replacement of the dental amalgam. In these cases the inlays (not exceeding the cavity boundaries) or the overlays (boundaries outside the tooth cusps) are adapted to the particular tooth and have a much better aesthetic effect and resistance to the great forces exerted on the posterior teeth. These restorations are made with the help of the dental laboratory and are welded into the cavities that have been prepared and imprinted.
