Describe to the patient what problems exist in the oral cavity, what are the urgency, and which order of dental operations to follow.

Patient Examination

The first contact with the patient is the one that will determine the priorities he places for his mouth and will reveal the expectations he has from the treatment to be programmed. The mission of the physician is to inform the patient of the condition of the oral cavity, to show him the possible alternative treatment pathways and to draw up a plan together, with the steps to be taken to drive as a team and meet the needs which the patient desires. It records the conditions in the mouth, determines the possible time of treatment, analyzes the possibilities available to lead to the desired outcome and informs the patient about the financial cost.

Emergency Response

When the patient comes to the surgery as a matter of urgency, what matters is the immediate treatment of pain and relief. Emergencies are often those that challenge the doctor because the patient’s cooperation is reduced and his response must be immediate and as painless as possible. There is a case-by-case relief of the emergency, given the appropriate medication if necessary and the patient is scheduled to complete the treatment later, after the time necessary to overcome the pain and malaise associated with such conditions.

Immediate relief of the patient and planning the continuation of treatment.

Teaching patients to correct tooth protection habits.

Oral Hygiene and Nutrition Instructions

Continuous and uninterrupted daily oral hygiene in conjunction with proper eating habits ensure the survival and maintenance of both natural teeth and dental restorations so as to protect their health and to perform their aesthetic and functional mission. The correct and customized instructions for use of the toothbrush (simple – electric) and other oral hygiene (thread, mouthwash) are described, and it is recommended to avoid overconsumption of foods rich in carbohydrates leading to the destruction of teeth and gums. Thus, a way of life that assists the longevity of all the oral tissues (teeth – mucous) and the restorations that have taken place in the patient’s mouth is shaped.
